Latest JEAN ROLLIN restorations in collaboration with Powerhouse

In our most recent collaboration with Powerhouse Films’ INDICATOR series, Filmfinity’s restoration of two coveted titles from iconic auteur Jean Rollin have had a much-welcomed reception. These features have been restored at 4K from the original source, presented in Dolby Vision for the first time.

Still from TWO ORPHAN VAMPIRES with review text: The est presentation of a Jean Rollin film to date. there isn't another presentation quite like it.

“Two Orphan Vampires 4K Blu-ray delivers stunning video and reference-quality audio in this excellent Blu-ray release. The 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases introduce a brand new 4K makeover of Two Orphan Vampires that might be the best presentation of a Jean Rollin film to date. I have acquired all North American Blu-ray releases of Rollin films and can categorically state that there isn’t another presentation quite like it. […] HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.” (Blu-ray.com)

“Again, Indicator has done the film proud on both its Blu-ray and UHD incarnations.” (Cine Outsider)

“The Indicator 4K UHD and Blu-ray are at the usual atmospheric standard – perfect a/v and stacked with supplements including interviews, commentary and extensive book.” (DVD Beaver)

“The presentation itself is a great argument for exposing 16mm film to 4K resolution, with its deep, inky black levels and well-tuned contrast. The source looks to be in very good condition as well. This is a very, very pleasing presentation […] a stunning 2160p presentation aided by Dolby Vision HDR that’s sourced from a new restoration of original film materials. Top technical marks across the board, and then you have the generous supplements package to enjoy. Sink your teeth into this” (HighDef Digest)

“Top notch image and sound with a stonking set of extras that can’t be beat… It’s a perfect, beautifully filmic presentation sheathed in wonderful 16mm grain and texture. One of THE discs of the year.” (DVD Compare)

Still from NIGHT OF THE HUNTED with review text: Well done to those who carried out the restoration as its a huge upgrade

“We are now seeing the film much closer to how it was theatrically shown with appealing textures, unembellished colors and even instances of depth. The 4K UHD image is another winner from Indicator.” (DVD Beaver)

“The image is incredibly sharp with a natural filmic quality, showcasing very strong detail and the striking imagery. Well done to those who carried out the restoration as it is a huge upgrade on previous home video releases.” (Blueprint Review)

“In keeping with their other Rollin upgrades, it’s a stunning improvement with excellent detail, beautifully rich colors, and a completely clean, impeccable presentation without the visible damage present on the earlier transfers. The UHD is quite the viewing experience with HDR bringing out some punch in the colors like never before, especially those hellish symbolic reds that pop up throughout the film.”  (Mondo Digital)
